Greetings from a hotel lobby twenty miles outside of Columbus. Been driving since about 9:45 this am. Didn't cross into Ohio until 2:30, but that also meant that I escape an eastward bound cold front that was bringing thunderstorms to Pennsylvania. The drive in PA was somewhat stilted since a significant portion of I80 is being repaved and therefore shut down to one lane.
There was a significant anti drunk driving campaign playing across almost every station. Radio highlights included Dio's "Rainbow In The Dark," made more curious by that same station's double-shot of 38 Special (live versions of "Caught Up In You" and "Hold On Loosely.").
I stopped here to give my spine and sanity a break. Still looking at another 140 miles or so to Cincinnati.
